Eurofund report showing that workers’ union membership in Malta is at its lowest – The Headlines: The Times

The Times leads with a series of questions posed by Council of Europe rapporteur Peter Omtzigt following leaked reports about the Daphne Caruana Galizia investigation. The rapporteur asked whether police information was passed to top government officials.

The Times picks up a Eurofund report showing that workers’ union membership in Malta is at its lowest, at 38 percent of the workforce. The Registrar of Trade Unions indicated that increases in new memberships are not keeping pace with employment rates.
