Eurojust launches Judicial Counter-Terrorism Register

Ladislav Hamran President of Eurojust gives a press conference to Launch of Judicial Counter-Terrorism Register (CTR) at Eurojust in Brussels, Belgium, 05 September 2019.

The EU-wide Judicial Counter-Terrorism Register will enter into force next month. Its purpose is to strengthen and speed up judicial proceedings to combat terrorism and improve safety.

The Counter-Terrorism Register will be managed by Eurojust, the EU Judicial Cooperation Unit, located in The Hague.

The CTR is managed by Eurojust  on a 24-hour basis and provides proactive support to national judicial authorities. This centralised information will help prosecutors to coordinate more actively and to identify the suspects or networks that are being investigated in specific cases with potential cross-border implications.
