Facemasks on public transport in Italy extended to September

The obligation to wear anti-COVID facemasks on public transport in Italy has been extended until September, a cabinet meeting decided.

There may be a possible partial lifting of the obligation for air travel, sources said.

The government was said to be weighing a possible easing of the obligation aboard planes.
