Father expresses desperation and hope as search for two-year old Julen continues

“We are in pieces, we are dead. But we still have hope that Julen is alive.” said José Rossello, the father of the two-year-old boy who fell into a well.

The parents of Julen, the child who crashed in a well in Totalan, Malaga on Sunday, January 13, are desperate. Rescuers are fighting against the clock as Spain follows every detail of the operation since it fell into the well, just 25 cm wide and over 100 meters deep in the Totalan Sierra.

The man has made an appeal to continue the rescue operations, because he said he was convinced that “I will see my son alive”. In statements to the media, he thanked for the support they are receiving with his wife Vicky.

A hundred rescuers, supported by engineers and technicians specialized in the rescue from mines and caves, work non-stop. Meanwhile, the Swedish company Stockholm Precision Tools AB has also mobilized, which located and rescued the 33 miners imprisoned in a mine in Chile in 2010.
