FBI was monitoring cyberattack attempts on Malta by North Korea – The Headlines: The Times

The Times reveals that the FBI was monitoring cyberattack attempts on Malta by North Korea months before the hacking on the Bank of Valletta systems earlier this year. The US agency was tracing malware linked to North Korean group Lazarus.

The Times says that constant surveillance of a sheep farm in Gozo has cost €1.5 million since it was imposed in 2013. Officers are posted on site to watch against illegal trading of the sheep or their products, fearing disease among the herd.
