France reports first citizen to die from coronavirus as three new cases confirmed.
The number of new confirmed cases of coronavirus in France has risen to three and one person has died of the illness.
Jérôme Salomon, director general of the French health authority, confirmed on Wednesday morning that a 60-year-old man had died overnight after testing positive for the illness at Pitié Salpêtrière hospital in Paris.

The case makes three new cases in 24 hours – the others are a young Chinese woman in Paris who has recently returned from China, and a Frenchman in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region who has recently returned from Italy.
Both are now in hospital.
This brings the death toll so far in France to two – an 80-year-old Chinese tourist died of the virus in Paris on February 14th whilst this last death was the first French citizen.
