Fuel spill feared as cargo ships collide off Corsica

Alarm of a possible fuel spill was on when a roll-on/roll-off ferry and a container ship after collided off the northwest coast of Cape Corsica according to the maritime prefecture.

According to the Toulon Maritime Prefecture, at around 7.30am, a Tunisian ro-ro (roll-on/roll-off) ferry, the Ulysses, collided with the Cypriot registered container ship, the CLS Virginia, which was at anchor some 28 kilometers off the northwest coast of Cape Corsica.
