Gattuso’s sister passes away, aged 37

Tragedy has hit the family of Napoli coach Rino Gattuso.

His sister Francesca has passed away this morning at the young age of 37.
She had been hospitalised since February in Varese after feeling unwell. On that evening, Gattuso was coaching his Napoli team against Sampdoria in Genoa, and after the match skipped the traditional press conference to head quickly to hospital.

Francesca, lived in Gallarate, close to Varese, where Gattuso and his family lives. Gattuso still owns a business in the area.

The Napoli coach was informed of this news while in Castel Volturno, at the team’s training centre.

As the news reached social media platforms, hundreds of fans, mostly from current and former club Napoli and Milan, expressed their condolonces to Ringhio, as the coach is affectionately known.
