Business Today says that the General Retailers and Traders Union expressed concern at the news that Italian discounter Eurospin is planning a market entry in Malta. The union said that the retailer would compete unfairly with Maltese business because of a tax refund system.
Business Today follows the story too and says that quarries are charging €15 per tonne of separated waste and €17 per tonne of mixed waste. The Environment Ministry said it would intervene if industry fails to resolve the issue.
