Hapag-Lloyd estimates extra weekly costs from Iran crisis at $50 mln–60 mln

Hapag-Lloyd CEO Rolf Habben ​Jansen on Wednesday ‌estimated the additional costs from the ​Middle East ​crisis at $50 million to $60 ⁠million a ​week and warned that ​the German company will have to pass ​on some ​of that cost to its ‌customers.

He ⁠added in a call with customers that about ​1,000 ​ships ⁠are still stuck in the ​region, six ​of ⁠which are from his company.
