Harris vows tougher approach on migration, supports weapons for Israel

In her first interview with a major news outlet since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris promised a stricter stance on migration at the U.S. southern border and affirmed she would continue providing weapons to Israel.

During the interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash, Harris aimed to demonstrate her grasp of key issues and outline her policy positions with just over two months remaining before Election Day on November 5.

Harris stated she would push for comprehensive border legislation to tighten migration controls and pledged to “enforce our laws” against illegal border crossings. “We have laws that must be followed and enforced, addressing those who cross our border illegally, and there should be consequences,” Harris emphasized.

She also aligned herself closely with President Joe Biden’s strong support for Israel, dismissing calls from some within the Democratic Party to reconsider U.S. arms supplies to Israel due to the high Palestinian casualties in Gaza.
