The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have launched an official Instagram account: @sussexroyal.
The couple debuted with a picture of the couple’s monogram – a combination of H and M with a crown above it – on a blue background. This was followed by a gallery of nine of their favourite images, including a previously unseen photo taken of the couple in Fiji during their royal tour last year.
Within the first half an hour of the launch, 40,000 people followed the account as the couple promised to share “important announcements”.
Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, will now update followers from the Sussex Royal account, having previously shared the Kensington Place account with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The royals uploaded a series of photos from the 11 months since they got married, including images from their tour of Australia and New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
