Healthcare staff in Sweden at risk of mental health issues due to pandemic

Swedish Radio reports that research shows that healthcare staff could be at a high risk of mental health problems caused by the stress of the coronavirus pandemic, and accounts heard from hospitals suggest workers are beginning to feel worse.

Union representatives said the heavy workload and fear over the future is starting to take its toll, and in Stockholm the regional healthcare authority is now making psychologists available at intensive care and infectious diseases units.
