In-Nazzjon says that a woman is in critical condition after a traffic accident in Mġarr Road, Għajnsielem; a man and a child travelling in the other car are suffering grievous injuries. The mayor of Għajnsielem expressed his worry at the frequent accidents on the same road.
In-Nazzjon reports an increase in the circulation of false banknotes, especially €20 and €50 notes. More than 840 falsified banknotes have been confiscated by the authorities in the first six months of the year.
