Irish PM sceptical of hard Brexit

Euronews reported that Irish Prime Minister, Leo Varadkar said he doesn’t believe the UK will leave the European Union without a deal.

Varadkar made the comments during a visit to Belfast Friday, while addressing business leaders.

“I don’t want to say too much about it at this stage but I think that the United Kingdom crashing out of the European Union without a deal on the 29th of March is unlikely. I think we either will have a deal or we’ll have an extension,” said the Irish leader.

The Irish PM , added that Brexit risked weakening the Good Friday agreement but offered assurances that anyone from Northern Ireland would still be able to claim Irish citizenship.
