ISIS is claiming that it was behind an attack on Sunday on a Saudi Interior Ministry building in the town of Zulfi. An attack in which all four gunmen were killed and three security officers were wounded.
The gunmen were all reported to be Saudi nationals, although the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted officials as saying their identities were still being determined.
The ISIS-linked Amaq news agency released a video on Monday of the four alleged martyrdom-seekers behind the attack. It’s unclear when the footage was filmed.
It says that the attack on the base had been carried out by a group of its militants. In the video, one man accuses the Saudi royal family of being infidel and says the attack is to avenge Muslims imprisoned in the kingdom, Syria and Iraq.
