Italian PM Conte rules out another term

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that this will be his only term as Prime Minister of Italy and has no plans to serve in any future governments.

Conte, who has been premier since June 2018, oversees a coalition government of two populist parties, the 5-Star Movement and the right-wing League. With no particular political background and having never before served in government, he sympathizes with the 5 Star Movement.

Conte, who is a law professor, said during a visit to the southern city of Lecce said, that his experience in government ends with this one.
