In-Nazzjon says that the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri is today expected to take the witness stand in the case about 17 Black. The paper says that Schembri attempted to stop the request to witness but his demands were rejected by the courts.
Another story in the paper quotes a statement by the Nationalist Party accusing Prime Minister Joseph Muscat of ‘toying’ with rule of law to protect the interests of a few. The party said that institutions originally established to safeguard democracy are ignoring the common good.
