Lidl trolls John Lewis Elton John’s Christmas Advert

There is no ‘Christmas’ from a marketing and advertising perspective without the John Lewis Christmas advert.

2018 is no exception and the company has released its Christmas advert.

Claire Reid writes on LadBible about the trolling between John Lewis and Lidl.

“This year’s offering was a heart-string-tugging ad titled The Boy and the Piano, which stared none other than the legendary Sir Elton John.

To coincide with the advert, John Lewis is flogging pianos and will be putting on special displays in a number of stores, but if you’re keen to get your hands on one and release your own inner Rocketman, then it’s going to set you back a whopping £872.

Anyway, after spotting the price of its pianos bargain German supermarket posted this tweet: “Just because you don’t have £872 to spend on a piano, doesn’t mean you can’t be the next Elton.”

To which John Lewis replied
