Madonna will be performing at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Israel according to reports on The Independent and Haaretz.
The European Broadcasting Union confirmed to Haaretz Madonna’s participation.
According to Haaretz the singer will likely perform two songs – a popular hit and a new song. The pop superstar and the contest’s producers have previously butted heads, apparently because the new song she plans to debut contains political messages.
The Independent reports that Madonna’s performance has allegedly cost $1 million, with billionaire businessman Sylvan Adams footing the bill.
