Today at around 1500hrs the Police were informed by the health authorities that a person was taken to Mater Dei hospital since he found himself in difficulty while he was swimming.
The Police went immediately on site where preliminary investigation showed that a 19-year-old Brazilian man found himself in difficulty while he was swimming at Balluta bay in Saint Julians’.
The victim was taken ashore by another man that was nearby and an ambulance was called on site to take him to Mater Dei hospital for further treatment. Later he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.
A Magisterial Inquiry was appointed into the case and Police investigations is still on going.
