Malta: Community Police close beach bags in an attempt to ward off pick-pocketers

The crime of pick-pocketing on beaches is very common during the summer months. That is why at the end of last week, a number of community police officers were seen at various beaches urging swimmers not to leave their bags alone or open while swimming.

As part of a campaign aimed at tackling theft from the beaches, community police were seen closing bags left alone with special police tags.
