The Drug Squad Police arrested 7 persons in Gzira and Valletta. Five men and a woman, aged between 28 and 47 years old, were arrested in an apartment in Gzira. They were found in the possession of what is suspected to be the drugs heroin, cocaine and crack which were ready for trafficking. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 23 year old man who resides in Saint Paul’s Bay. He had in his possession what is suspected to be cocaine. Police investigation is still ongoing.


If Brexit goes ahead, Malta will be losing an ally with which the country sees eye to eye with on many issues, Joseph Muscat said. Former Prime Minister Alfred Sant on Sunday evening indicated he may seek re-election to the European Parliament, saying it was difficult to ignore an appeal made earlier in the morning by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
