Malta: Government refuses to return seized cash to Russia

The Times reports that government has no intention of releasing Libyan parallel currency seized at the freeport last year, despite pressure from Russia to return the consignment. The money is thought to have been destined to the Libyan National Army.

The paper speaks to TACA workers who have been in Malta since November last year. They say that they have only been paid for the first three months and the company is refusing to talk to them about the situation.
