Malta: MEAINDEX wins National Award for Support to Enterprises

MEAINDEX – The Online Toolbox for Business Entrepreneurs presented by the Employers Association and the promotion campaign for equal opportunities in the manufacturing industry by the Chamber of Commerce, were chosen as winners of the National Award for Support to Enterprises. The two projects will represent Malta in a European competition in Finland next November.
The two projects were selected among eleven nominations presented, among others, by ministries, local councils, public entities and NGOs, trade unions and educational institutions.
Anton Vella from the Employers’ Association said that the association’s project was drafted to facilitate the work of entrepreneurs. “They were finding it difficult to search in websites those offering some incentives and services; so we gathered them in one place as a single point of reference. Together with Business First and 15 other entities, we are providing a service in one website”.
Economy Minister Chris Cardona said that the National Award for Support to Enterprises is to recognize initiatives to enlarge enterprises and to create greater awareness on the contribution of entrepreneurs in society.
