Over 4,330 members and 530 councillors of the Nationalist Party presented a petition calling for collective responsibility for the defeat in May’s elections. It also appealed for unity within the party and for a mature discussion.
Rather than resignations, the party needs to strengthen its efforts to attract people to it, the resolution adds.
The motion was presented a day before the PN’s executive committee discusses another petition that calls for a motion of confidence in the party leader.
Tomorrow, the PN executive will also be electing new presidents of the executive and administrative committees and a new party treasurer.
