Plans for a footbridge in Birkirkara valley have been put on hold by Infrastructure Malta following fierce opposition by residents and local councillors.
In a statement, the Nationalist Party welcomed the decision to suspend plans for a pedestrian bridge across Valley Road which it said was a victory for the conservation of the town’s urban core and for residents.
