Malta’s alcohol prices are the 11th highest in Europe

Finland has been ranked as the EU country with the costliest alcohol prices.

Newly released data from Eurostat put Finland at the top of a special price index, with Bulgaria and Romania at the other end of the scale. Each country’s value on the index is calculated relative to the EU average and the cost of living.

Malta is placed in the 11th place of the countries reviewed which include Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.

Outside the bloc, in countries such as Norway and Iceland, prices are even higher.
