Maltese photographer’s Lionel Messi’s photo selected amongst the top 10 sport action photo of the AIPS

Maltese EPA photographer / stringer and sports journalist Domenic Aquilina’s photo of Lionel Messi was selected as a finalist in the AIPS Sport Media Awards in the Photographic category Top 10.

Domenic Aquilina was chosen after passing  a strict selection and will be the roster of the potential finalists.

The photo shoes FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi attemptsing an overhead kick during the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg match between FC Barcelona and Manchester United at Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, on the 16 April 2019

The three names will be unveiled on January 15, 2020.
