A 28-year-old man from Valletta has been arrested by the Police Drug Squad, assisted by members of the Rapid Intervention Unit, following a raid yesterday, July 8, in San Ġwann.
The man was stopped and a search was conducted on him and inside the vehicle. The Police found 23 Kilograms of cannabis ready for trafficking, 100 grams of cocaine and €45,000 in cash.
Police investigations are still ongoing whilst a Magisterial inquiry has been appointed into the case.
The man is expected to be arraigned in court later today.
