Manchester’s bomber’s brother is to be extradited by Libya this year – Libyan Prime Minister

The brother of Manchester arena bomber Salman Abedi could be extradited to the UK by the end of the year, Libyan prime minister Fayez al-Sarraj has said.

The Independent reports that Hashem Abedi was arrested in Libya shortly after the 2017 attack that killed 22 people, many of them children, as they left and Ariana Grande concert.

Mr Sarraj denied that Libya had delayed Mr Abedi’s extradition and insisted his country was “fully cooperating” with British officials.
