This year, Europe saw the update to the Markets in Financial Instrument Directive (MiFID II) come into force. Focusing on core principles of the creation of fairer, safer and more efficient markets, this broadest piece of financial industry legislation ever set to change market structures significantly.
The Malta Law Academy, the Foundation of the Chamber of Advocates and the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Malta will be addressing this directive in a conference which will be taking place on May 23rd at the Malta University Valletta Campus.
This conference will be a collective effort to look at the challenges but also at the opportunities that will help us harness this vast regulatory change.
The conference will be addressed by Dr Joseph Ghio, Dr Katya Tua, Dr Laragh Cassar, Dr Louis Degabriele and Dr Andre Zerafa and will be moderated by Dr David Fabri.
The conference will be held between 1400 and 1700h.
