Mild earthquake registered in Catania

An earthquake measuring 3.3 was registered late Tuesday night in Sicily, Italy.

The earthquake’s epicentre was on the western side of the Etna.

According to the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), the earthquake struck around 23.32 of Tuesday night at a depth of seven kilometres in the area of Bronte.

There have been no reports so far of victims or damages.

Prior to the 3.3 earthquake, tremors of the intensity of between 2.5 and 3.1 were also registered in the area.
