An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 has struck 15 kilometres from Itea in south-west Greece and around 130 km to the west of the capital Athens. Strong tremors were felt in Galaxidi around 9 km NE from epicentre.
Initial reports indicate that the depth of the earthquake was around 2 kilometres. So far there have not been any reports of damages or victims.
