The World Health Organization (WHO) said that almost 1,000 people have been killed since Libyan renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar launched a push three months ago to capture the capital, Tripoli.
The figure includes at least 60 detained migrants who died in a devastating air attack on a detention centre in the Tripoli suburb of Tajoura on Tuesday night.

The WHO said that some 5,000 persons were wounded in the same period of time without specifying the breakdown between civilians and fighters.
The fighting has also forced more than 100,000 people to flee their homes.
