Investigators in Paris are working on the theory that the fire that ravaged Notre Dame Cathedral was started by accident.
Euronews reports that the Paris prosecutor said there was nothing to indicate a deliberate act.
Earlier, the Paris prosecutors’ office began an investigation into “involuntary destruction by fire”. Its involvement is standard procedure in France and does not automatically imply any criminal element.
