Officials announce that Indonesia’s earthquake death toll reached 1,200 (Photos)

Emergency crews are still trying to find victims of an earthquake and tsunami that struck Indonesia’s island of Sulawesi, killing at least 1,200 people. Euronews

Meanwhile, the Indonesian government has defended itself against accusations it issued inadequate safety warnings. CNN

 

 

On Friday, a tsunami was triggered by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck along the coast of Donggala. Most of the dead were found in Palu, a city of 300,000.

Earlier on Tuesday, Indonesia was also hit by two successive earthquakes.
