Molly Moorish-Gallagher, 21, Liam Gallagher’s daughter has opened up in her first interview about her father with the Sunday Times Magazine.
A family interview alongside Lennon and Gene, and Liam Gallagher himself.
Moorish-Gallagher says she feels no anger towards her father, whom she did not see during the first 20 years of her life.
Gallagher, 46, has four children by four women: Lennon, 19, is his son with his first wife, Patsy Kensit; Gene, 17, is his son with his second wife, Nicole Appleton; and Molly’s mother is Lisa Moorish with whom Gallagher had a fling in 1997. It took place, according to Kensit, a week after their wedding day. His fourth child, Gemma, 6, is the daughter of Liza Ghorbani, a journalist with whom Gallagher had a fling during his marriage to Appleton.
About his relationship with Molly, former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher said “It’s a shame that it didn’t happen earlier, but you can’t live in the past — you just have to draw a line and get stuck in with some super love going forward.” He has since written his daughter a song, Now That I’ve Found You, which will appear on his second solo album, due for release in September.
Gallagher, who is now in a relationship with a member of his management team, Debbie Gwyther, tells the magazine that his parenting style is being “more of their mate” than a traditional dad.
Asked by the Sunday Times Magazine if he plans to meet his fourth child, he says: “It’ll just have to happen naturally.”
Liam Gallagher is coming to Malta for a free massive concert at the Floriana Granaries this July. The concert is being organised by Malta Shows in collaboration with Air Malta. Gallagher will be performing at il-Fosos, Floriana, on the 18th of July.
