In 2005 coordinated terrorist bomb blasts strike London’s public transport system during the morning rush hour killing 52 and injuring 700.

Three suicide bombings occurred on the London Underground. The locations targeted were a train just outside the Liverpool Street station, killing seven people; a train just outside the Edgware Road station, killing six people; a train traveling between King’s Cross and Russell Square stations, killing 26 people; and a f a double-decker bus at Tavistock Place, killing 13 people.

In 1985 Boris Becker becomes the youngest person to win Wimbledon at age 17. The German tennis player beat American Kevin Curren.

In 1947 an object, thought to be an UFO crashed into a ranch near Rosewell, New Mexico raising speculations that the object was an extraterrestrial spacecraft containing alien life forms.
