Update: A 19-year-old man has died and nine people have been left injured after a suspected knife attack in the city of Villeurbanne near Lyon, French police have said.
The stabbings happened close to the Laurent Bonnevay metro station in Villeurbane.
The suspected attacker is said to have assaulted people while they were waiting at a bus stop before running to the metro station.
One suspect was arrested and another was being sought, AFP reported.
