Middle East Monitor: Some 79.8 per cent of Tunisians said the country was on the wrong track, according to a poll conducted by the private company Sigma Conseil in June.
According to the poll, the level of pessimism among Tunisians rose to about 80 per cent, accompanied by increased dissatisfaction with the performance of the heads government; President Baji Caid Essibsi and Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.
Satisfaction with Chahed’s fell from 71.6 per cent in May to 64.8 per cent in June.
Respondents had the most confidence in Member of Parliament Samia Abbou, from the Democratic Progressive Party, followed by Chahed and the former minister of education Naji Jaloul.
The survey sample consisted of 802 Tunisians over the age of 18, of both sexes.
