One might think that NETFLIX is thinking of creating a new series documenting the life of former BayWatch star Pamela Anderson or the controversial Julian Assange. If Netflix decides to go there, then it has the script ready, as this isn’t fiction, but it can easily be based on a ‘true story’.
The Hollywood Reporter writes about what it calls “the most controversial relationship in Pamela Anderson’s life at the moment”, the one with Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks. It writes that the way the Hollywood sex symbol became friends with the world’s most wanted hacker — holed up in the Ecuadorean embassy in London for the past six years to avoid extradition to Sweden, at first, and now the U.S. — is something of a mystery.
All Anderson says is that they met “years ago” and that it was Westwood who introduced them (Westwood calls her “one of the most intelligent women I ever met”). Anderson also declines to reveal the exact nature of their relationship, although it’s clear her many visits with him at the embassy have drawn them close. “We talk about everything,” she says of her friendship with Assange. “We talk about the Bible, we talk about what’s happening with my kids, what’s happening with his family. It’s not just about politics, even though I do take a lot of notes and it’s so overwhelming, the information he gives me.
“Julian Assange is “in grave danger” at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, claims Pamela Anderson who told a US magazine his isolation from the outside world is taking its toll on the WikiLeaks founder. The former Baywatch actor, who has regularly visited the Australian in exile, told The Hollywood Reporter she got an “urgent call” from him on the day his internet was shut off in March. “And now, nothing,” she said. When she last tried to visit him at the embassy she was denied access, she said.
The interview with Anderson, which can be accessed here, isn’t just about Assange. She provides insight about how she ended in the geo-politcal universe, her attendance to a Donald Trump party, her visits to the Kremlin and the meetings with Vladimir Putin.
