For a few hours Saturday evening, the crescent moon and Venus paired up for a celestial treat. In the photos, the view of the conjunction of the Moon and Venus, the last one of the year, seen from the city of Pachuca, in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, 28 December 2019 (issued 29 December 2019).
The pairing happens only a few times a year. The next time will be on January 28.
