Italian singer Diodato celebrates on stage after winning top prize at the 70th Sanremo Italian Song Festival, with the song “Fai rumore”.
Francesco Gabbani, with the song “Viceversa” was placed second whilst the third place was won by i Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, with “Ringo Starr”.
To decide the winner the votes used were assigned as 34% Public televoting; 33% Jury of the Press Room, TV, Radio and Web; 33% Demoscopic Jury.
Diodato’s win does not mean that he will being going to Eurovision, as the winner has the right to turn down the opportunity.
