An extended use of the ferry is foreseen also for patients infected and still in need of treatment.

In the first phase there are about 30 staff units including doctors, nurses, social and health workers located in a dedicated part of the ship.

The goal is to reach a total of 400 beds plus 50 for the staff to create a real floating hospital that can help other regions affected by the Coronavirus emergency.
