Photo story: The Flight of the Condor

Peter Wenzel trains the young condor Molina in the Eagle Reserve in Bindslev in northern Jutland in Denmark.

Molina came to the Eagle Reserve in November 2018 as a youngster and has since everyday been trained by Peter Wenzel, whom he considers his parent.

As an adult, the condor, which is a vulture, could have a wingspan of up to 3, 5 meters and weigh up to 15 kg, making it the world’s largest flying land bird.

It is expected that Molina can be presented to guests in the reserve in 2020.
