Tunisian President Kais Saied on 23 March 2020, ordered the deployment of the armed forces on the streets to enforce general confinement and prevent gatherings of more than three people.

Tunisia has 89 confirmed cases of the virus. It imposed a curfew last week and a general lockdown from Sunday that keeps people in their homes except to buy necessities.
