The artwork ‘Levenslicht’ (Light of Life) by Dutch artist Daan Roosegaard has been unveiled in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on the evening of Thursday 16 January 2020.
The monument has a diameter of 20 meters and consists of 104,000 luminous commemorative stones for the number of Holocaust victims from the Netherlands.
The memorial was unveiled ahead of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz.
