A photo made available by the National Galleries of Scotland on 14 July 2022 shows Senior Conservator Lesley Stevenson viewing a painting ‘Head of a Peasant Woman’ (1885) by Vincent Van Gogh and an x-ray image (L) of the painting, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The x-ray image revealed a portrait of Vincent Van Gogh behind the painting and is believed to be a previously unknown self portrait of the artist Vincent Van Gogh.
