Police open fire on a vehicle outside the Ukrainian Embassy in London

British Police opened fire on a vehicle outside the Ukrainian Embassy in Holland Park in London after the driver drove into the official car of the Ukrainian Ambassador. The Ukrainian Ambassador was not in the vehicle.

An official statement from the embassy said officers were called to the scene in the Holland Park area on Saturday morning and attempted to block the vehicle, but it continued to hit the car parked outside the embassy. The driver then drove towards the police officers, who opened fire on the vehicle.

The Metropolitan Police in a statement said a man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and taken to a central London hospital as a precaution, following the use of firearms and a taser but the Police clarified that the man they arrested did not suffer any injuries.

The ambassador, Natalia Galibarenko, was not at the embassy at the time and no other staff were injured.
